| Well before the advent of postcards during the XIX century began to appear illustrated cards that were put inside envelopes; later, since 1896 greetng cards began to be printed . They were used till our times and are now superseded by the web. Cats appear very often both in the colour greeting cards and in photographs. The most ancient card in the Museum is French and dated 1886. |
